Len has a point though, and I was actually thinking about this earlier in the arc. It’s been demonstrated repeatedly that they spend a lot of money on things that, ultimately, they don’t really need to get by or even still have a comfortable life. Cut back on some of those things you don’t actually have to have, and you’d have more money to make ends meet. I don’t they’d even have to cut out all that many luxuries even. They might even be able to still live a fairly middle class life.
Granted, though, this still probably isn’t want Abby would really like—the luxury of having to work less without having to lose any of the luxuries they’re already enjoying…but as already noted, she’s just being more than a little greedy there.
What does she expect him to do, anyway? Quit working at the business he helped make and loves working so to try and find one that can pay more? Because given how the economy was even when this first ran, she has no guarantees they can even do that. The job Len’s already got might very well already be the best option for them.
Boy she is really putting the pressure on him. I bet she doesn’t stop and think that maybe her friend’s husband is a big executive and makes the big bucks and what is expected from her by him for allowing her nit to work. She seemed to enjoy her life before she ran into her friend.

As a shrink she must know the guilt/blame/stress she’s putting on him.

How about you be grateful you both have jobs paying enough for you to keep a roof over your heads, keep the lights on and food in your bellies.

If he would work more he could earn more and not be around for her stupid selfish self involved nagging. If she doesn’t stop thats what she’ll get.
