now what could Muffin be doing with Opal’s things? take them to a pawn shop or something?

I bet it will end up being Roscoe’s fault. At least if Muffin has any say in it.

In my house, the Cat Cave is under the bed. That’s the first place I look for small missing items.

Fountain Pen?! For those of you that aren’t as old as the author or myself, the fountain pen was the predecessor of the Biro or Ballpoint, depending on which sort of English you’re accustomed too.

Muffin is planning for retirement.

Muffin isn’t a burglar. She’s just securing all those items for Opal.

My cat knocks things onto the floor, plays with them until they get stuck under a piece of furniture, then leaves them. I periodically sweep under the furniture with a yardstick.

Car burglar?? Is the cat missing?

I haven’t seen a fountain pen in ages. . .

Lord I hope the cat didn’t chew on the fountain pen with his teeth! Hate finding a nice pen only to discover somebody chewed on it.

Going to need to make a search for Muffin’s stash if Opal wants to find her missing belongings. But first, Opal needs to figure out that the cat is the culprit.

We had a cat who would bat anything loose (and sufficiently small) under the sofa. We’d clean out under there periodically and find virtually everything we thought we’d lost. (almost… I still haven’t found my lucky Liberty Dollar I lost ages ago)

I live with a klepto-kitty. Potholders and paper towels from the kitchen, wash cloths and hand towels from the laundry basket, hair scrunchies from the bathroom, pens from my desk, socks … if I don’t hide it, Jasper Goodkitty may decide to carry it off.

My mother had some cats, and once some people were visiting, and one cat handed a ring to a visitor. Turns out the cat had stolen something from them and was making a trade.

Two of my cats have swiped rings, as well as pens and other small objects.

Muffin is punishing Opal for the massages she gave Roscoe. She’s jealous.
