Thanks to everyone sending mothers day good wishes yesterday. Back at ya! My 5 kids took hubby and me to a fondue restaurant. We had a wonderful time.

My cats are solar-powered. Achilles likes Dad’s window and the south-facing window behind my dresser. He often sprawls on top of my dresser to sun himself. Both cats love the catio for sun. There’s a cat tree there.

I just realized…

I have really bad night owl habits and it’s common for me to fall asleep after the sun’s gone up. Does that mean I’m actually a cat? What a plot twist!

What do you bet there’s just one small thing out of place and Elvis gets the blame?

As someone who worked night shift for over 30 years, I relate.

Just before sunrise is prime hunting time.

Sun’s up! I hope the crew got their fill of kibble last night, breakfast time must be close, and the cupboard is empty?? !!! DOOM is close!

It is certainly enjoyable this time of year to be awoken by the sun rather than an alarm ringing in the dark. It appears a bond was forged through competition, and neither cat cares who picked up the most. They have earned that sunspot!

I think the house is now suspiciously clean. You know, if you came home after leaving your teenagers for the weekend, and the house was really clean, you’d KNOW they had a party!

They say the two best kinds of sleep are the sleep of the just and the sleep of the just-after (cleaning up all night). :)

OT: The reflections of someone who has had too little sleep.

Try going to bed before 7 A.M on a particular day being over rated, Lupin. Of course that day needs to be the third day you stay awake.

Did that once by mistake. Stayed up for 72 hours straight. I’d climb in my bed and start reading my book. The ritual back then, reading before I went to bed. Sadly the next thing I knew it was 9 AM and I was saying “We’ll, might as well get up, I’ll go to bed tonight.” Yeah, after 72 hours I was a little punch drunk and didn’t bother reading that night.
