This time, a larger strip image is shown by merely clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #833 (May 7, 2012) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment. I have added a comment there (awaiting Mr. Melcher’s approval) pointing to the artist info I used to point to here. So far 4 works, by this artist, have been used here (4 times, including this repeat). The November 26, 2012, strip has its first time (the 22 hyperlinks in my comment there have been deactivated, and the line breaks removed, but perhaps the text remains informative). The February 10, 2010, strip has the last 2 works by him used there. The active artist info URLs in my comment there are pointed to by here links in my blog comment.

Why is there a shadow behind her head, but not across her face? Is she actually glowing?

/// Prompt Queen Charlotte would always insist
that appointments must never be missed.
She would meet tête-à-tête
with Marie Antoinette
on time, (wearing a watch on each wrist).

Tis a sight to give a chap pause../
She’s desperate – grasping at straws/
With her tiny, pale paws/
And she’s got to, because/
Her Majesty’s drowning in gauze !
(But she’s probably breaking no laws…)

Her life was an endless “shtupp”/
she barely had time to sup../
then it’s “back to the sack”/
for another “attack”/
his Majesty never let up !

Well, she had at least 15 pregnancies, so sweatpants should very much be allowed.

I’m surprised humans are still around considering the awful things women have done to their bodies with clothes through the ages

And I feel the same way whenever I’m dressed up: Can’t wait to get back in the grubby clothes!

She plopped down in the chair in sheer utter frustration discovering it was a painting behind the curtain and not a window offering some fresh air.

Painted in 1789 when she was 45 – so probably out of the pregnancy biz. Meanwhile, in France, the “fun” is just beginning…
When the Revolution went down/
The Bourbons tried to get outta town/
poor Louis Sixteen/
and his Austria Queen /
/achieved a most costly renown..///
The French are a hot blooded nation/
economically prone to inflation/
And makinga mockery/Of the hard working “Jacquerie”/
Can lead to your decapitation …///
England’s royals hold a far safer station./
They keep going, each new generation/
Of uniformed louts/
(Descended from Krauts)/
Seems to generate some new sensation…
