Talking about messing with kid’s brains. Years ago when we were adding to our house we had one of our neighbor’s teenage son help us dig the foundation. While digging he found some round oval rocks that my hubby painted white as a kid and lost in the dirt. My hubby always the prankster and joker opined that those white oval stones were probably fossilized lizard eggs. The kid was impressed and took some home to show his family. When I heard what hubby did I call the kid’s dad to tell the truth about what hubby had done. Well…… the kid’s dad had one better. One of his daughter’s friends who was a vegan was visiting. She was sitting on the family’s naugahyde sofa. He told her that she was sitting on the hide of a nauga. Her reaction was how awful it was to kill a nauga. Needless to say, I just couldn’t win that day.

Cats are only boring to people who don’t know much about cats. I’ve had cats who performed on a radio program with me, rode a cardboard box down off the roof like an elevator, walked with me in the redwoods, along oceans cliffs and surburban gardens, killed more than a hundred gophers, tried to teach me how to fetch …

I’m wondering if Muffin got mixed in with the laundry. If so, I hope Pearl put a few dryer sheets in so that Muffin didn’t get any static cling. ;-p
