While it may be important to open some eyes …

It seems important for some people to turn every topic …

    … as a way to push a narrative …

… and/or into a way to lay blame, guilt, and despair on others.

She must be referring to the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch, the CIA, the FBI, and the WHO, and by “the WHO”, I mean the World Health Organization, not the rock group, although their song “Won’t Get Fooled Again” seems apropos as well.

Considering Eddie’s thing tends to be that the more outlandish his story is, the more likely it is to be true, that last panel may have been an unforced error.

    My comment from another strip.

A chance for the useless to bleat their phony patriotism and love of country while trying to pick up votes. They are slavering for the free promotional coverage they can use for the next election.

A sham wrapped in the flag and the constitution and abetted by the networks, their ad departments, and the editors who will try to give 2-year-old hash a new look.

Meanwhile, meaningful and desperately needed legislation on a variety of issues will be submerged in the scum that covers the Potty on the Potomac.

Sham and scam are common ingredients in the public trough.

It is time to put in term limits in Congress, and age limits on the Supreme Court. Only then, will we the people have any chance at all of restoring incorrupt government, but I certainly won’t be holding my breath waiting for it to happen. Of course, we’d have to increase the intelligence level of the electorate, and that will never happen.

I often think about the success of gay marriage. Years ago people opposed it, then groups organized and got it legalized one state at a time. It was eventually signed into law at the federal level. I wonder if abortion could have been destigmatized in the same way, avoiding the rift we see in society today.

Interesting that these were written on the anniversary of D Day.

What about those men who lost their bodily autonomy when they were conscripted and had their limbs blown off? That lacuna is telling.

Then there is the EU which complained about the potential opinion … but has no problem with the fact that many of its member countries forcibly conscript men – and only men – for military service?

    The silence is deafening.

The sexism is apparent where the pro-choice crowd believes that only women have a right to “bodily autonomy.”

Put up or shut up Wiley. If you believe what you preach, ban the sale of this comic in the EU until every member nation stops the conscription of men.

All pregnancies, from the very first official recording (e.g. any doctor visit, MUST list the father. All fathers MUST be legally and financially responsible for ALL medical care for their fetus from that first official recognition (correction, it will be already considered their “child”). All fatherhood, especially contested cases, MUST be verified by genetic testing. All biological males (let’s start with Selective Service age, probably should go down to 16 or even 12) must submit blood and sperm samples for genetic testing, to be recorded in a government database (which of course will now be available for crime scene and rape kit testing). All accusations of rape MUST be tested; after all, it is the sacred duty of government to protect all children, including ensuring that all children are connected to their parents. Any men feeling uncomfortable? Too bad. Take responsibility.

I get it that Flo is dressed as a Handmaid because that is the most easily recognizable costume to get the point across. Still, having read Atwood’s novels about the Republic of Gilead, I can’t help feeling bothered by the implication that she is still fertile. In that world, she wouldn’t be a “Handmaid” in red; she’d be a “Martha,” dressed in green.

Being a gay man, I really don’t have a horse in this race, but I have always thought it is the woman’s body, her choice what to do with it. Everything that goes into making a potential human being comes from her body. Her choice what to do with it. Only thing I would ask is how many women didn’t, or haven’t voted that helped get us to this point ? Not their fault, but certainly a factor . Men have made a through mess of things, so get together and change it.

An amazing number of comments that are sexist or in fact misogynist, hate filled, theocratic, and absolutely fascist.

Women should – no, must have more control over their bodies.

Believe what religion you want but keep your religion out of our government and out of their people’s lives!

If men could become pregnant none of this would be arguable. There’d be abortions available in every bar and restaurant. There’d be abortions avaliable at every ATM.

And no Reich wing theocratic misogynist has proven that they know one damned thing about gestation. Their ignorance is obvious and dogmatically shown at every opportunity.

The Turd Reich trolls and the theocratic trolls want an oligarchy that is based upon their perverted (and in many ways) interpretation of Christ’s teachings. Their vindictive, biased, hate filled “christianity” is an insult to Jesus Christ.

Women’s rights and the rights of all human beings are worth defending by any means necessary. And no, embryos, zygotes, and fetuses are not by definition persons. Simply because they are not viable outside the womb. They are not viable. They are not cognizant. They are not people. They are merely part of the woman’s bodies.

Keep your religion and misogyny away from women and the bedroom. Do what you want but your rights end when it gets to other people’s rights and life choices.

We will fight you on this and by any means necessary. How much that means is a choice you have, just like it is ours. Your compromise would be a wise choice. Your absolutism would definitely not be a wise choice.

No privileged white male has any clue, you see you are sure the constitution applies to you. Sammy A is about to drop a bomb on the women, telling them the 14th amendment does not apply to them. Basically women have one and ONLY ONE right under the constitution and that is the right to vote. And come November we had better use that one right with a vengeance, every republican voted out of office NO EXCEPTIONS. VOTE BLUE
