Well, maybe you just didn’t enunciate clearly enough, Earl. Five and nine do sound similar. Maybe Roscoe just misunderstood. I’d say he did well bringing a golf club at all. He could have fetched shoes instead.
My house rule, no club less than an 8. Too many ceiling fans and lights. Have to keep the ball low, can chip over coffee table, over the couch only if alone in the house.

The horror. I bet Opal is trained better than that. ;-}

does Earl really golf?

What is he going to do with either iron in the house?
Jesy Bertz Premium Member over 2 years ago
Later, Earl asked Opal to bring him a sand wedge. She told him to make it himself.

Opal’s next question should be, “Have you seen that cat?”

Roscoe’s a caddy-lack of a dog

What if Roscoe had brought him a different type of club?
I suppose Earl wood be even more disappointed.
[And … Doesn’t Earl usually just putter around the house?]

Earl isn’t a golfer, looking at the way he holds his iron.

Perhaps more experience would help. And less disappointment.

He is lucky that Roscoe didn’t drive him with the 9 iron.

Look, if you have a good caddy, he hands you the club you need, not the one you think you need. :)
