Is this the first meeting between Honeymoon and her “Moon Grandpa” that we’ve actually seen? It seems to me that when it took place before, it was out of our sight. It’s good to see Joe again. It seems like a long time since we’ve seen him. I suppose he would be Honeymoon’s uncle, actually.

I do believe Honey is over the Moon with this meeting. Maybe ex gov will give Joe a pat on the head and call him “Sport”.

At last a quiet moment of contentment in Tracy’s life. I hope it will carry for the rest of the evening save for whatever news Grand Gov brings.

No Moon Daddy from Mysta?

The Moon Gov.‘s coat hangs next to Tracy’s iconic coat and hat. Perhaps this is a sort of visual foreshadowing – the two of them working together on something.

Hopefully Moondoggy will declare Frankenmindy an abomination and actually have a Lunarian ability to strip their DNA from humans, reverting her to human and casting her out…then Mindy goes to visit the grave if her real father and we never see her again…and everyone lives happily ever after

By the way, don’t you think it’s strange how the ENTIRE family just welcomes Frankenmindy the Patchwork Girl, into their lives and homes? I still don’t think they’d be all that lovey dovey comfortable with a cheap pastiche version of their wife/mother/daughter-in-law/sister-in-law hanging around all the time

Tracy is suspicious, it seems – but that’s probably going to be for good reason! I just hope they have a tasty dinner first!

Will she serve Moon Pies?

The perfect time to finally give the former lunar governor a name.

Old (ex-) Moon Gov can be plenty friendly when a free meal is involved and the offer comes from female relatives or friends [there may be a pun or two lurking in that sentence]. Not so brusque as he was yesterday with Mr. Tracy, in whose house he is a guest, and Tracy’s “toy”; but he is a slippery, nameless character driven by his own motivation rather than any abstraction such as the common Good. I trust him not, and as remarked by someone above (Batster), wish he’d lose the Flash Gordon costume. Be all that as it may, he clearly has come to Tracy for a reason, not just for a Family Reunion. As Ken in Ohio astutely observed, the juxtaposition of Moon Cowl and Tracy Trenchcoat (panel 3) may well foreshadow metaphorically side-by-side cooperation between Gov and Tracy….
