You might think Dad would be alerted already. Yeah, Tinkertoys aren’t like metal rivets but there’s still a metal chute and a full bucket of water that Cal needed a ladder to reach. But Dad always seems more interested in his paper than his son.
Tinker Toys >>>>> Legos! Lincoln Logs, too, but you needed oodles and oodles of sets to make the way cool beans stuff. Today’s children are so deprived. Seriously.
The hinges appear to be on the outside, doors open towards the hinge side, so the door will open out. Where is the ladder? If Calvin can carry a ladder into the house, climb up the ladder carrying a full bucket of water he should have upper body strength to eat Moe’s lunch.
I had one of those sets, wooden discs with holes around them, with sticks that fit into the holes. I think they ended up in the wood stove, along with my Lincoln Logs. Sad.
In the mourning milk came out of my mouth because I laughed at this. I just read it again, and I laughed just as hard. Good thing I didn’t have milk in my mouth this time LOL

It’s going to fall straight down long before the door opens. That heavy bucket is going to overwhelm the Tinker Toys very soon.

Calvin needs more training in engineering in order to make a successful booby trap.

I LOVE Tinker Toys! Do they still make these? Or, perhaps the bigger question is, do kids still PLAY with these?

When you kids can build that and you can’t hear him making it, maybe you need to recheck your qualifications of being a dad and an adult.

If you have any animals in your house – dogs, cats or tigers – your Tinkertoys will gradually disappear.
