If they are 2,000 small jigsaw pieces, would it be considered an act of micro-aggression?

what would Earl prefer to do instead? go fishing, but then will have to return the catch to the pond because Opal doesn’t smelly fish in her kitchen, dripping wet on the carpet?

Guessing that table won’t be needed for anything else for a l-o-o-o-o-n-g time.

I used to like doing puzzles with 1500-2000 pieces. Anything 1000 pieces or smaller were not enough of a challenge to me. But now I prefer puzzles of 1000 or even 750 pieces.

I remember one where the cat pooped in a zen sand garden. Could you send it to me.

At least he has the edges done.

Truly, I once had a dream wherein the puzzle pieces were the size of molecules.

Maybe Earl should do jigsaw puzzles online. At least that way he couldn’t lose any pieces

Get him one of those one-color puzzles.

Get a lesser piece jigsaw puzzle!

Cardboard is recyclable Earl. Dump it.

Opal knew what she was doing giving Earl that puzzle. She kept him out of her way for hours.

How do they keep a jigsaw puzzle out with a cat in the house?

A “friend” once gave us a 1,000 piece DOUBLE SIDED puzzle! Same image but 90 degrees offset on one side.

Just because she gave it to you doesn’t mean you have to do it. Donate to to someone. A friend keeps giving me puzzles that are in the 750-2000 range. I don’t like them and won’t do them and have told her that over and over. I used to return them toamazon so she could get credit back. Now I don’t bother. I just take them to the clubhouse.

I used to have a jigsaw puzzle table in my house that always had a 1,000 – 2,000 piece puzzle on it. It was a magnet for everyone coming into the place. They all wanted to take a stab at solving it.

The great thing about the table was that it had raised sides so the pieces couldn’t accidentally fall on the floor.

When we’d finished a puzzle, we’d take a picture of it ( and the solvers ), then break it down, rebox it and donate it to either the V.A. Hospital or the Senior Center.

Hopefully it won’t be a 1,999 piece puzzle.

She erred. The puzzle did not keep him out of trouble.

I once did a 4,000 piece puzzle. Never again.

Let Muffin walk across the puzzle area, turn around several times, scratch table surface and mix puzzle pieces, lick her nether regions (multiple times) and scratch her neck area with a hind leg. Voila!!!! Puzzle submits and solves itself.

Pre-pandemic someone would bring a 500 – 750 piece puzzle to our New Years Eve Parties so people would play games at one table or build a puzzle at a different table. The puzzle was always finished by midnight. It was a great way to socialize without all the drinking.

I had a great Uncle Aunt worked on those puzzles their kind of entertainment they stay up all hours to work it they had fun.When my mom was going through short time cancer, short time means after 11 treatments, at a cancer center, there was two puzzles on this table, when completed public waiting take it apart and redo the puzzle, the man who had cancer said they do puzzles at home only way he stayed sane, when our mom could no longer do radiation for her cancer, and Dr. warned us, never knew what became of them. That was 6 years ago.

I do much more manageable jigsaw puzzles on my iPad Mini. It’s called “Jigsaw Box” from Sparkle apps and I get a free set of puzzles on the 1st of every month. I buy sets of puzzles from the built-in Puzzle Store fairly often and each is based on a theme. Sets go on sale regularly for 99 cents. There’s a feature to make your own puzzles from your photos – I’ve made one with a nice photo I took of Mt. Shasta. I’ve also used Bing daily photos to make puzzles. When you select a puzzle you choose the size from 8-252 pieces. I AM ADDICTED! I go back to work a puzzle several times every day. Did I mention I’m retired ;-)

Earl is ready for Paint By Number. Something simple, like a stick.

My wife and daughter loved doing those things or they were awfully bored. All I know I would come home from a 9 month cruise and every flat surface in the house would have one of those puzzles on it, not all of them would be complete.

Give him 499 more, and he’ll have a million pieces!

I bought my husband a round jigsaw puzzle that was solid red. No picture. He got the edges done, then glued that to a piece of paper or cardboard, whatever. Of course, it was NOT glued perfectly round, so he never finished it.
