ah, hawthorne takes the japanese approach to interpreting…
just as one example of many, an acquaintance asked me to help him out by interpreting at a meeting. i told him i don’t do interpreting. he begged. i reluctantly told him yes and asked for info to prepare. he said he’d get back to me. after many postponements, he got back to me a couple minutes before we were to leave for the meeting and seemed surprised that i was irritated at not receiving any prep. happens all the time here…

With all the fish, other vertebrates, and invertebrates in the lagoon, there should be someone more qualified than Sherman. Maybe a Bobbit Worm.

Google “french to english,” use the translator. Talk to some frogs and snails.

Last chance, Hawthorne, to follow Fillmore’s suggestion.

Learning French is easy. The word for horse is “Cheval” and everything proceeds logically from there.
