I was wondering about the pollution factor!

The effort needed to lift those pills of leaves into the grill is as great as the effort to bag them. And then you have to clean up the grill.

When you start a new job always watch to see how the fattest guy in the place does things. He will know the easiest way. Come to think of it I’ve always had new people watching me at work.

Increasing efficiency is not laziness.

If you burn them in the grill neither the local authorities or HOA will harass you as they think you can’t cook, rather than you are violating the ordinances.

Pollution laws aside, that was a solution done in a “similar” way not so long ago, so it’s really not new but is still probably illegal in most jurisdictions. I was a pretty good lawyer in my time if you need some advice or bail my friend….

…about the only downside to that idea is that you’ve probably got way more leaves than space in the grill. It’d take quite some time. But you’d stay warm doing it, and ash is good fertilizer; just ask the Native Americans who used slash-and-burn field management.

I would think laziness would be a good reason why people invented labor saving devices such as the washing machine, dryer, vacuum and dishwasher

I think Gladys didn’t want to cook dinner and was hoping Brutus had a plan for cooking.

If you want to easiest solution to a problem, get a lazy person to figure it out.

It may not global warming, but it does pollute. Similar to being down wind of a wildfire. It is unhealthy.

Actually it sounds like more work than just raking the leaves into piles. Well, if Brutus came up with good ideas he wouldn’t be the Born Loser.

The last line makes a good point. I would think people that are workaholics rarely try to invent something that would make their work easier.

I believe it was Garfield who said that you just know that it wasn’t an exercise freak who invented power steering.

I’d throw some burgers on there. Waste not.

i’ll have to suggest this method to our addled neighbor who likes to burn big piles of grass out in the open when the wind’s brisk off the ocean…
