Wheels and all, our luggage ended up in Cleveland…..

We didn’t have as much baggage back in ’69.

We put a man on the Moon, but we put his luggage … where?

Visiting the Moon seemed to be getting boring.

Cosmo isn’t wrong.

Perhaps wheels on luggage are part of the start of the obesity crisis?

The Women’s Lib movement put wheels on luggage.

Women wanted to show that they were strong and independent, so they stopped asking men to carry their bags. They realized the bags were heavy, and looked around for wheeled luggage. Men hadn’t wanted wheeled luggage because they thought it made them look weak.

But JFK never said wheels on luggage was a national goal. Had he, maybe things would have turned out differently.

The little things mean a lot!

I still remember watching the astronauts dragging their luggage behind them….

Now that you mention it, it is funny!

We had mule carts back then. But you had to check them.

Orville Wright invented an airplane before he invented a bread slicer.

My luggage was on two wheels that year. Spent July 4th in Acapulco, travelling from the U.S.A. by 700cc two-wheeler.

I remember when I saw the first wheeled luggage when traveling to a group cruise. Everyone in our group was amazed, including me!!! It was a case of “what will they think of next?” Apparently it caught on.
