Bea . . . never mind, you’ll figure it out later. (And if you don’t, no big deal, it won’t really matter.)
Ora Zella likes purple wallpaper (it matches the purple couch) and wears a purple skirt, Bea wears purple footie pajamas . . . what is it with little girls and purple? I mean, it’s not exclusive to little girls. I like purple too, and I’ve never been a little girl, but still . . .
The new kitties are quite the study in contrasts. Iggy being soft-spoken and thoughtful, while Ora Zella speaks in ALL BOLD CAPS and is ready to take on the crazed-excapee-three-eyed-weirdo …
Bea no. Also good we’re almost back to the Man and Woman so they can adopt these two. I don’t mind the pacing for this arc it’s good I just want them to meet their future dads and mom.
Does anyone else see what looks like two eyes under the word BOOM in panel three? Anyone? Is it just me? Is there something/someone else out there? Is Georgia toying with us? Coincidence? Losing my mind? Too early this morning?
The Purple Room! Hopefully help is right on the other side of a partially hammered door. I wonder how the People will react making the same discovery they did: four cats in the addition!
Based on a Short Story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman: The Yellow Wallpaper
Scene: The year is 1892. A large, kinda decrepit mansion in the middle of nowhere. Enter a young woman (Jane) and her husband, an up and coming doctor (John) with their infant daughter.
John: Here we are dear. Now you’ll have a chance to recover from your bout with hysteria.
Jane: It’s called postpartum depression. At least it will be in about a hundred years from now.
John: I’ve arranged to have you stay in the attic. You are to do nothing. No writing, no creativity, no thinking. And my sister Jenny is here to take over the care of our lovely daughter.
Jane: Great. Three weeks of sheer boredom. This has got to be the most hideous room imaginable. What’s up with this wallpaper?
John: Don’t worry. Just rest and let me do the thinking for the both of us.
Time passes
Jane: I’m glad I sneaked my notebook and pen in. (Writing)
Dear Diary, what a day it’s been. Dear Diary, it’s been just like a dream…
Now I’m imagining there’s a woman concealed in the pattern of this lousy wallpaper. Oh wait, there is a woman here. Who are you?
Woman: Oh, hi. I’m Alicia. My family owns this place.
Jane: What are you doing here?
Alicia: This room has been driving me crazy. Who wants to live in a room with barf yellow wallpaper?
Popping back in to see if anyone else noticed that Georgia hasn’t been on any of her social media accounts since Tuesday? Or if I hopefully just missed a message she would be off-line? Given she was in the middle of the Tarot deck, and usually has some post or activity on Twitter or IG, going on two days of quiet is a bit unsettling, given all the things there are to worry about these days. Really hoping it is just simple connection issues?
Will Baba tell the others that Winifred Quinn is buried in the basement? Will the two new comers let on that they escaped from a shelter where they were sentenced to be put down? Will Elvis blow up like a giant puff ball once again?
For the answers to these and other intriguing questions, tune in tomorrow to As The Litter Box Turns.

Baba Might have seen the “crazed escapees.” Love that little smile on her face when she says that.

That looks like the big purple couch that was in Tommy’s house before it was replaced by a hammock.

Crazed escapees? Are they crazier than Lupin, Elvis, and Puck? If they are, we’re in for a wild ride…

She’s not the only one who likes the wallpaper.

We’re nearing the end – 4 days until Halloween – but one of those is a Sunday. So 3 more days until all is revealed, all are reunited/united?

Pint-sized Ora Zella is exuberant in everything she does; whether it is coming down the stairs or describing wallpaper, this little tornado is all in.

In panel 4 I see Baba taking off her raincoat; getting comfortable waiting for the storm to pass and the evening to unfold.

Huh. A second day of Super Mario Bros. parallels, this time from the horrible, execrable and really not very good at all live-action movie:
.
“Aliens?! We gotta deal with aliens too?!”
“Luigi, we’re the aliens!”
“We are?! Wow, cool!”
