Too much of a stretch to be a tribute to Schulz, even if he did once (maybe?) mention a taco. Why no real tribute, Jimmy? BTW, you can see most all the cartoonists who did recognize Charles Schulz on the 100th anniversary of his birth here – https://schulzmuseum.org/tribute/
I saw this last night and went on by. No clue. The only close reference I can think of is turkey Tamales. I get heartburn from them for eating more than I should. Maybe it was a reference to the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving after all.
It is a tribute to Sparky. If you search Charlie Browns tacos you’ll fine a variety of Charlie Brown restaurants selling deep fried tacos. One is in Almont MI but there are many more.

Huh… this is one of the few comics that don’t have a reference to Peanuts.

Just thinking about tacos give Janice heartburn? I don’t see the humor either. What is it? What am I missing here?

Perhaps “taco” is some kind of code.

Is she thinking about another way to get rid of the turkey?

A reference to, what would have been Charles Schultz’s 100th birthday would have been better.

Arlo and Janis did a great Peanuts tribute back in 1997 (!). The whole week’s worth of strips can be seen here…

“It happens this time every year” is the only clue. Maybe tomorrow we’ll find out.

Well, I do actually feel like that today. And no, I didn’t overeat at Thanksgiving or leftovers either.

On the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving; the song that played was The Heartburn Walts.

The only time thinking about tacos gives me indigestion is when I’m recounting the number I ate over the smaller number I should have eaten.
