Iggy continues to feel more at home.. and be super adorable as he scares everyone with his pop ins. Also the first time Elvis has been mad at Iggy since he moved in.
Love the differences in Poofening here. Puck just says “Oh, darn, my tail’s gone bottlebrush again…” while Elvis is already well on the way to freaking out. Which one of you do you think Iggy’s more likely to keep sneaking up on, Elvis?
My “Itty Bitty Demolition Committee” (Oogie Boogie and Boudicca, aka The Demon Sibs), born and bred off-season at Texas Renaissance Festival, are now a wise and rather laid-back 10.5 years old. This just means that their shenanigans are less noisy and a whole lot more imaginative.
ROFL! That does happen around here at times. Though Nyla prefers – not popping out, but leaping at. Me, Housemate, Microwave repairman (who fortunately had a cat that they bottle-raised, so he was not affected!). Where a couple of months ago it was my lower legs, now it’s my thighs that look like I’ve been fighting with rose bushes in a blackberry patch.

Poofy Elvis!

Well, you know, he hasn’t had much pouncing practice yet, and as it is a vital feline skill, more practice is in order.
(Good job, by the way. It isn’t easy to get Puck to poof!)

All around the Big Pink House,
Little Iggy chased the geezers.
He stopped to pounce on Elvis’ tail
POP! goes the meezer!
Half a pound of tenpenny tuna,
Half a pound of cheddar cheezer.
Mix it up and make it nice,
POP! goes the meezer!

Of course, it’s not just kittens who do that. Isn’t that right, Mr. Invisible?

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Maat-Tilda: I can show you many fabric techniques. Is there a specific one you want to learn?
Iggy: I’d like to learn how to repair fishing nets.
Tillie: I can help you there. You need the right string, a shuttle and a gauge. Here’s how it goes…
Sometime Later
Freshwater Cat: That’s odd. I thought we had more nets than this. And I don’t see the ones I was planning to mend.
Saltwater Cat: It seems like there have been a few strange occurrences around here. Things disappear and reappear in better condition.
Meanwhile, Back at the Palace
Lupinium: I was looking for my old tumbling mat, and then I found it had been cleaned and re-surfaced.
Puckmosis: It almost sounds like another un-crime wave has started.

Iggy the poppin’ kitty
Has a very darling pose
And whenever Elvis sees it
You could say his gasket blows
Some of the older cats there
Used to feel almost the same
They never knew when Iggy
Was gonna play his poppin’ game
Now it’s close to Christmas Eve
And Pucky’s gotta say
“Iggy, with your smile so bright
I can feel your joy tonight"
Then he’ll show how much he loves Ig
As he’s shouting out with glee
“Iggy the best smol popper
You give me a scare and squeee!"

Iggy reminds me of a certain tiger kitten. Dad refers to him as the Little Leopard.

Totally off topic, except that somebody somewhere was discussing weather:
Dashing through the snow
In open-sandled feet
O’er the yard we go
Praying for some heat
Dog with urgent need
Has to go outside
What fun it is to walk and plead
“Let’s hurry back inside”
Frozen toes Frozen toes
Frozen all the way
Oh what fun it is to walk
The puppy poop parade
