I’m just getting home from visit with all my family and an early Christmas dinner. It was nice to see all of them, most of whom I hadn’t seen since before the Covid pandemic.

Looks like they are trimming a tree together. What else can they trim together?

Art Dekko would be taking a heck of a chance, selling knock off merchandise out his shop.

With Sue doing all the sales, Art seems to just come up with schemes and pocket the money.

Two different women. One with a buzz cut hair style and one with a curly mustache. It is a changing cartoon world!

Art Dekko told Sue Reel that the fake cel business was just a sideline, and in fact, their booth at the con was a cover for his more complex scheme involving a fake newly discovered Da Vinci painting. But, it was the fake cels circulating around town that brought Tracy and Sam into this. If not for that, Art could be arranging his big scheme with no police scrutiny whatever.

OOOOH! Mysterious Cities of Gold? AWESOME! I love Shuki Levy’s theme song for that cartoon!

Loved Mysterious Cities of Gold though I grew up with its original French version (it was a French production, made in Japan which is partly why there is such an anime quality to it.)

So, we see that Dekko has not just a FurryCon table but an actual storefront, and adjacent at that to the cop coffee hangout (nice “coincidence”). Sue Reel does the peddling of cheap fakes (?) from the shop, and ingenuously invites Blaze to come there and “sure, you can” what? Bring a friend? Lee Ebony? Is there a bust in the near future, or maybe just some professional snooping?
