It’s MAINSTREAM media bias. No other kind of media bias exists.

Certainly there is NO SUCH THING as bias within Fox “news” or the right wing media structure. I mean Fox even admitted that they were “fair and balanced” for years and years, and the right wing media structure is totally non-partisan.

I mean, how would anyone know that Ukraine is run by Nazis, if not for Fox “news” and the right wing media?

And how else would anyone know that Kari Lake is the real governor of Arizona?

In high-stakes Corporate and Political cases, we are already past being able to absolutely trust the validity of video cam “evidence.” Advanced video and audio editing applications using AI can be used unless the raw evidence is secured. Read Michael Crichton’s “Rising Sun” to realize how this is possible.

In addition, there is also video evidence of police officers taking the initiative to open the way to the capitol building on January 6, Nancy Pelosi, who was responsible for the security excitedly saying “Finally!” when she first heard about it, and a known CIA agitator attempting to rile up the masses to enter the building.

Sadly, this kind of NONSENSE has become MUCH MORE PREVALENT in the last 6 years or so. I wonder what happened sometime in 2016 to change things???

Yeah, that video of taking ballots out from under tables after the observers were told to leave is obviously edited. And that video of Ruby running ballots through the counter several times is obviously fake.

FOX Entertainment et al. assume that no one will fact- or bias-check what they watch. Their cult expects its members to leave their media on 24/7/365 to exclude any other sources. Try UPI and other far less biased media. Fact check what sounds sketchy or when it sounds like they are trying to pass off things as if it is their way or no other possible way at all for all things you see or hear. It is your job to think for yourself no matter where you get your information. But remember that if someone tells you that their way is the absolute and only way they have alterior motives. How do you get your facts and how do you verify them?

Have used cameras since the 50’s and can prove the old saw the camera never lies. Also can prove, by my own darkroom and graphic software tweaking, that people who manipulate the data will quite often – and willingly – lie if it suits their purpose whether fair or foul.

Actually, contrary to popular belief, the camera does lie. It does not show what happened before it was turned on, what happened after it was turned off, and what happens outside of its field of view.

So…everything that the media reports has video evidence? And everything for which there is video evidence is reported in the media, and nothing is ignored?

I remember the video evidence of the Rodney King beating that was reported in the media – they continually aired only the segment that showed the beating as if King was being beaten for no reason at all, but in court, the FULL video showed that he was resisting arrest. Nonetheless, because of what people saw in the media, the not-guilty verdict sparked a riot.

Even in the age of video, what the media presents is not genuine evidence. It is edited by human beings, who have their biases and agendas. Whatever your political leanings, you should not be worshipping at their altar.

This is why courts were invented thousands of years ago – for those who play fast and loose with the truth. They don’t always work as intended but have you got anything better?

Actually, as our friend in Brockton, Massachusetts (198.23.5.11) said, above, this was first uttered if the movie, “Duck Soup” but, more recently has become the “mantra” of the entire republican party in America. It was humorous when spoken in the movie – not so much when used as a reply by an entire political party…

Wiley nailed the entire GQP with this toon. They (the lawyers-especially Trumps) have never had anything to say in actual court after they file law suits. They have never presented the proof they claim to have in any court. Thats because no such proof exists. What they are doing is trying their case in the court of public opinion. That jury consists of their base and the people who pay no attention to very short news stories stating that still another case has been dismissed due to lack of evidence, but do as the millionaire News Anchor makes the press conference the lead story on their Evening news cast, never ever explaining that those lawyers have already lost that case in court.

Which shows how the MSM continues to sway the jury-the voters- who don’t understand just how much their POV is being shaped in the court of Public Opinion

Belief counts, plenty. Facts are too boring.

In John Dean’s book Conservatives without Conscience, he describes the findings of psychologists about “authoritarian personalities”. They think (or rather feel), as did Machiavelli, that what any polity needs is a strong, decisive leader who will make all the decisions for everybody, sparing them the onerous task of having to think for themselves.

Estimates are that about ⅓ of the American populace fits this description, longing for a powerful, dominating father figure to steer the national “family”. Of those, about 99% are sheep desperately seeking a border collie to lead them, and the other 1% are narcissistic psychopaths convinced that it’s their own (sometimes divinely ordained) destiny to do so.
