There’s no such thing as a stupid question – of course there is! When I was in school and the teacher said, “There’s no such thing as a stupid question,” I took it as a challenge.
There is a growing movement to have the Super Bowl played on Saturday. Probably being led by employers who are tired of hung-over employees taking off the Monday after the game.
Here’s a question. Why do people care so much about one game that involves two teams that most people wouldn’t care about earlier in the season unless they were playing THEIR team? Besides that…. football is just a dumb sport.
Actually, just this morning I heard that they are considering moving the game to Saturday. See https://sports.yahoo.com/should-the-idea-of-a-super-bowl-played-on-saturday-gain-steam-180530971.html
A few decades ago the game used to be played in what was the afternoon on the east coast. We are not sports interested people and husband goes further to be upset about sports on TV. He would walk around in department stores and change the channels on the TVs from the game to other programming. We actually would go out every year on the day of the game just so he could do this.

His question’s not that stupid. Having the game on a Sunday maximizes the number of likely viewers.

Easter always falls on a Sunday, too, and I never asked why.

Some of the questions, I see online, make this one seem rational.

That’s a good question Norm(I can’t believe I’m saying that), shouldn’t the Super Bowl be on a day that EVERYONE can have a couple drinks?
