The whole mindset of “Omg, I’ve lost an hour of sleep!”, or “It takes me 3 weeks to get adjusted to DST!” is nothing but hogwash. Do people NEVER get to bed late and get a little less sleep? Do people NEVER have to get up early for a 6am flight (or whatever)? Do you wander around in a fog for 3 weeks after those episodes? No? Then why is this one day so different for you? I set my clocks ahead at 9pm last night and said “Oh, look, it’s 10pm, time for bed”, went to bed and got up at 6. Gee, got my full 8 hours. Life is good.

So therefore let’s keep being stupid?

Changing the clocks twice a year is a PITA stupidity that is counterproductive. Put it on the current DST and leave it there.

Standard time should be the standard.
