The truth is out there, Elvis! #TrustNo1! ;) Elvis, I think you should cover a window with an “X” in masking tape, and perhaps a certain bird from “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood” will come to meet you in a deserted birdbath and tell you truths too horrible to speak of.

Repeating post from last evening…interesting article
Just read an article in the newest National Geographic about the Rainbow Bridge. An art historian from Arizona, Paul Koudounaris, has tracked down the original author of the Rainbow Bridge poem. Her name is Edna Clyne-Rekhy, an artist. She wrote it in 1959 at age 19 after the death of her family Labrador Retriever, Major. The article has photos. I’ve never seen any representation of the poem/story with an author attribution.
Awww our poor boy IS behind it and is now worried his dad thinks he’s an alien. Also have to imagine burt is sighing oh so heavily as he puts up the crop circle graphic, as he and elvis clearly had some hilarious offscreen fight about the aliens graphic forcing elvis ot make his own phsyical prop, and Burt just.. had to have that crop circle ready and hope Elvis would never force him to actually put that on a broadcast.
Lil pirate cat jus’ wanted to play with the fluffy balls. Obviously his quirky habits are unappreciated there, and he is being deprived of his playful and artistic expression. I will take him, thank you. /packing a carrier and lots of round fuzzy toys/
Those aliens look suspiciously like the zombie rabbits from the lab Natasha was in (https://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2021/10/08?ct=v&cti=2617492). Of course, that’s probably the most alien thing any of them have encountered, so it makes sense.
Ora Zed: Ooh, I love running through the Zoomie Zinnias! Hello, Miss Bee gathering pollen! What’s your name?
Bee: Hi! I’m Melpomene. I represent tragedy. You can call me Mel.
Ora: But you seem so happy!
Mel: That’s right. My message isn’t that we should be sad all the time, but tragedy is a part of life and we must embrace it to live life to its fullest.
Ora: I like to live life to its fullest!
Mel: I can see that! Wanna race?
After Much Racing
Puckmosis: Hello, Mel. Have you seen Ora Z?
Mel: Yes. She fell asleep after we raced. I could use a nap as well.
Puck: Couldn’t we all. I’ll go collect her and we’ll ride back with Avenger and Emma.
Mel: I made sure to watch where she raced so she didn’t reach that flower patch over there.
Sue Ellen posted this wonderful poem about Georgia & BCN yesterday, but alas, it was so late that I think most people missed it, so I’m taking the liberty of reposting it: ♬ I’ve grown accustomed to her artShe always makes my day beginI’ve grown accustomed to the ’toons she sketches night and noonHer cats, her mouse, her big pink houseAre essential to me nowLike breathing out and breathing inI’m very grateful she’s an artistAnd difficult to forgetRather like a habit I might never break, and yetI’ve grown addicted to the trace of water color flairAccustomed to her art ♬
If Georgia is a firm follower of Chekhov’s Gun Rule, we could extrapolate: Since we are now seeing an alien, before the end of this story arc, someone will get probed.
I think I know who’s responsible for the “pom pom formations”. Poor little guy. He’s not trying to play with them, he’s trying to make something with them.
Carlton has officially been deflowered! The big creamsicle floof has been wearing a soft flower-shaped collar for a couple of weeks after having his messed-up right eye removed. Yesterday the h00minz finally took the pesky thing off him, so now he can give himself a proper bath. What a relief! (Eureka, however, is definitely NOT thrilled with being stuck in a collar after her eye surgery…)
Iggy being so fascinated by the pom-poms is adorable. Iggy is adorable in general. And Iggy blushing is extra adorable! Though, I don’t quite understand why he is blushing..? Maybe it’s something we’ll find out later. Anyway, so cute!

Cyndi Lauper: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Dad Cat creates an alien chart
And shows crop circles are alien art
Oh Dad Cat, dear, I just like to run
And kittens wanna have fun!
Oh kittens just wanna have fun!
…….
Goldie wants to investigate now,
And Lupin’s ready to swallow them whole!
But I just like to grab them, each and every one!
’Cause kittens, they wanna have fun!
Oh kittens, they wanna have fun!
…….
That’s all they really want
To play!
When the nappin’ time is done
Kittens wanna have fun!
Oh, kittens just wanna have fun!
…….
Some cats take pom poms and hide them away
I want to take them and bat them and play!
Make arrangements or take them and run
Oh kittens just wanna have fun!
Yes, kittens, they wanna have fun!
…….
They just wanna, they just wanna!
Pom poms are there, let’s take them and run,
’Cause kittens, they wanna have fun!
Kittens, they wanna have fun!
