The EasterBeagle exists. Snoopy IS the Easter Beagle.

It’s a responsibility he’s taken on himself. There’s one day of the year when the Easter Beagle has a meaningful job to do and if Snoopy doesn’t do it it doesn’t get done. That he does it with a hangover isn’t ideal, but he does it.

This is, understandably, out of sequence after yesterday strip, which was originally run on April 10, 1976. The strip above ran on April 18 of that year. We’ll probably get the 4/11/76 strip next Sunday. (Sorry, I’m not going to say what it was about, I don’t do spoilers.)

WHAT? Snoopy hasn’t been in TRAINING? But – How could he let everyone down? Well, it explains why I didn’t find any eggs this morning…
