And so, the shish kebab was invented.

It’s for making parallel lines in the dirt.

In earlier versions, a rake was a guy who gathered rose petals from fallen virgins. The term has since been transposed to its modern form and its more mundane purpose.

The trouble with re-running old comics is, they always get things not quite right. It’s June not October.
