I can’t really be smug when I use an inordinate amount of cream in my coffee.

I use cream but not sugar anymore. When you’re diabetic you try to cut out sugar as much as you can.

I take my coffee black no sugar, I’m a diabetic and latose intolerant.

I stopped taking sugar in my tea when I was at college in the 1980s. I had to cut down on sugary food four years ago when I was diagnosed as prediabetic. I lost a good deal of weight as a result and I am no longer prediabetic.

I can’t drink coffee nor tea, save for once a month I have one cup of green tea. The cardiologist said it’s a cardiac irritant. The rest of the time, I have tisanes (technically), aka ginger tea. It doesn’t need sugar.

What’s to be smug about? Drink your coffee however you like it is the way I see it. Me personally, I drink unsweetened black coffee, have since I was about 14, but I have sugar and creamer on hand if you want some.

Sugar and cream in coffee is evil. Coffee black is the only way to go.

I don’t drink tea or coffee. But if I did, I wouldn’t put anything in it. I either like something or I don’t, and just the smell of coffee can set of a migraine for me. I tried tea, but just couldn’t get into it cold or hot. I tried herbal teas and regular teas. My taste buds are really picky.

I don’t sugar or cream my tea, but my coffee has to be with cream and sugar.

We’re also smug when we’re not diabetic.

Never noticed or cared. Still don’t.

Well considering you take cheap gin in yours Aunty, they have a right to be smug.

I only use creamer now after having sugar and creamer for years.

Never put in my coffee or tea.

Stevia enough for two cups in an eight cup pot of tea. Just enough to cut any bitterness fo my taste. and, to quote the Mrs, “A wee drappie o’milk in th’ cup.” I have seen the way the English drink tea first hand, they don’t put milk in their tea so much as a drop of tea in their milk.

I am the “nothing added” person.

Sugar is a white powder that makes coffee tast bad, if you don´t put it in.

I’m sure we seem that way to you.

There is not enough sugar on this planet that can make coffee or tea palatable.

I grew up in the south, lots of sweet tea…now I’m diabetic, so now I drink sugar free tea…sigh…just not the same.

I use honey in my tea.

I don’t get smug about no cream nor sugar in my drink, until the 4th time I’m offered cream and sugar for my drink.

My ex ALWAYS razzed me about “polluting” my coffee! #NotMyProblemAnyMore

Well, I don’t use sugar but I use Splenda. No smuginess here. I never could figure out those that take it with absolutely nothing.

..And cake without sugar would just be bread covered with crisco. :-P

You’re sounding a bit defensive there, Auntie! I don’t care what you put in your tea or coffee. Why does it bother you that I prefer my tea unsweet?

Are these the same ones who mention they are vegetarian. They seem to think this puts them on a pedestal.
