That gives them enough time for GROSS meetings.

Calvin doesn’t take alot of lessons right now, so if anything, mom and dad are the ones getting a good deal here.

The kids should not be seen school of parenting

The odds of Calvin staying put without parents or physical restraint are… imperceptibly different from zero.

We used to build tree houses, who didn’t?

Maybe he could cut down on his shenanigans. Hmmm… cut down… I like where this could be going.

I can’t tell if this is bribery or extortion on the part of Mom

I wondered where the TV got to.

Well, at least he’s branching out…….

And it gives her a chance to relax a little…

Mom definitely knows what “inducements” work with Calvin!

So, what’s Mom doing for those two hours, three times a week? Helping the pool boy out?

Anything to get him out of her hair….anything

what lessons would he have over summer break? mom has found a way for him to give her a few hours of peace.

When I was kid (I sound like my father!) … we were out of the house 8_10hrs/day most of the summer.

Smart way to keep Calvin out of trouble for a few hours a week during Summer break.

That’s one way to get Calvin out of her hair!

But we never find out what lessons they are…

And she doesn’t have to drive him anywhere for those lessons!

Mom might relax those days, but I doubt Cal will. He will become bored and start thinking of things to do. Those usually end up in mayhem against another or retaliation from the victims. But he’ll have a ball.

Mom- Just get Susie and Rosalyn to come over once a week on different days for afternoon lunch. That will keep Calvin outside for HOURS!

With Calvin’s up time, she gets some down time.

That’s a very good deal.

He’d have to be out of his tree.

Sounds like Mom has calculated well how long she wants Calvin out of her hair.

When I lived near Biloxi, there was a small house (cottage) 30 feet up in a tree nearby. I was fascinated by it because I was eight years old. We were invited by the owner to climb up and look around. The whole house buzzed. On one visit, the owner showed us how the hollow walls were an enormous beehive. He pulled a tray of honeycomb up from a custom-designed window sill. It was a memorable demonstration of combining house and nature.
