In some caves, stick figures are the skein. In others, such as the Cave des Taureaux (Great Hall of the Bulls). in Lascaux Caves and elsewhere in France , animals are depicted pretty much as one sees them. A mystery so far not solved.
Someone at MAD magazine said that since cartoonist Dave Berg was both a writer and an artist, he should be called a “writist.” He responded that that was a hell of a name to apply to a liberal like himself.
I look at some of those cave paintings from the dawn of history and get envious at the skill involved. I myself can’t draw a stick figure if you gave me a ruler and spotted me the head.
