I expect some sort of Looney Tunes high-speed crash in which Lupin and Ora Zella meet in the middle of the cake from opposite directions, and the rest of the scene can mostly be described by the sound “SPLAT!”

Oh My Cat! It’s a strawberry Incendiary cake! Can’t wait to see Lupin go invisible on it?

I think OZ might beat Lupin and Goldie to the cake.

Good Grief! Lupin and Goldie working together is almost as shocking as the woman being able to bake a decent cake!

I had no idea the cake sparklers existed, but it makes sense. They’re very pretty, and probably sells better than the dessert cherry bombs or the dessert roman candles …

Lupin and Goldie as a tag team? Who would’ve thought!!! And Goldie cracking her knuckles. This promises to be quite an operation.

I love Iggy’s concerned little ears. I’m wondering how long it takes the sparklers to burn down so you can cut the cake. It’s not as if you could blow them out like candles.

With so many cats around celebrating surely is no cakewalk…

The Woman’s baking skills have improved greatly. Pity it’s doomed.

Just wait until the Woman makes a Christmas pudding and lights it on fire!

Why would she do that, you ask?

Because nothing goes better with British murder mysteries than incendiary pudding and a nice, hot cup of tea!

Be careful kitties, those explosives are made of thermite. They can burn you paws something nasty, and all those sparks…. Remember, you’re 90% fur.

Iggy: Anyone who wants to go for a sail after dessert, I have the boat ready.

Thomios: I’m glad I baked extra cupcakes. They’re going fast.

Lupinium: I had nine of them.

Elvis: How could anyone eat that many?

It’s a nice looking cake. Too bad some of the cats are planning a disaster for it. I’ll be eating cake later on today at my youngest great-granddaughter’s first birthday party.

Just kinda shocked Lupin and Goldie are working together.

Cat idioms: “should pack quite the kick” rather than “should pack quite the punch”. Georgia is so subtle. [Happy sigh]

I must be completely out of touch. Are cakes with sparklers or other fireworks really a thing? Suddenly, I’m feeling old.

Sparklers are indeed an odd ingredient for a cake, but that just makes it all the more necessary for exploration by a Cat of Adventure (or two)!

Ah yes, tracking the little one to play with fire inside the house.

Coming up on the 6 o’clock news: The Big Pink House On The Hill burnt to the ground by a misguided celebration. Firefighter say that instead of children, it was a couple of adults playing with fire. 4 families are now homeless and the animal shelter closed. Film at 11.

Lupin and Goldie need to hurry. Otherwise, the Devine Kitten Wind, デヴァイン キトン ウィンド, will beat them to it.

Lupin and Goldie, detente?

This would be less scary if the cake were on a picnic table in the back yard but it sure looks like the regular kitchen tablecloth.

Sparklers are never a good idea inside (as I found from personal experience). They are a fun idea on a cake, though.

Lupin and Goldie, I’ll take a bowl of strawberries and buttercream frosting, please and thank you.

I took a baking class where we made tons of bread and coffee cakes and pies, but no cake. I repeat, no cake. (Coffee cake does NOT count as cake.) It was a terrific class, but no cake. Not even a cupcake. If my little freezer weren’t full of bread, I’d bake a cake now — I want/need buttercream frosting — but I have no place to put leftover cake.

Not comfortable with the idea of sparklers in the house.

Challenge Accepted, I see.
