Is it on an island or rock-fill?

Easy solution is to decrease the Higgs Boson field on at least 17 percent of the sky scrapers thereby reducing the gravity of the situation!

This reminds me of how mountains such as the Himalaya Mountains also push down and sink down into the earth because of their weight.

Manhattan island is sinking. The Statue of Liberty is in New Jersey. Won’t help, Brewster.

That’s what you get building sky-scrapers on landfill.

Wall Street used to be close to the water – well – it soon will be again…

Given that the Statue of Liberty is on an entirely different island that’s not in New York, maybe try something else. Now that fewer people are commuting into the city, there’s a good chance we could spare a few skyscrapers.

It was a gift from France. How about we remove the Manhattan D.A. That weighs just as much.

If NY is sinking, that may be due to the increased sea level caused by climate change.

Time to build some of those things that the Dutch build, that start with D and rhyme with PIKE but goNanny won’t let me use!

New York City is actually built on swamp land. So many small creeks feed into it that water has to be constantly pumped out. When Manhattan was bought for trinkets, probably the sellers chuckled at how they had outsmarted the stupid settlers by selling them worthless swampland.

Only to the French! Not to New Yonkers. They say we got too many people already, don’t send us any more.

Manhattan has several suspension bridges (Brooklyn, Washington, Verrazzano, etc..), why not use them to hold the island up?
