Nooooo. Talk to your parents first Kat. I know her hair will grow back, but still.

This does seem like a better use of the detention time. However, they’d best tidy up the bits of hair afterward. I wouldn’t put it past this school to give them more detention for leaving a mess after their first detention.

KAT, NOOOO!!!! Doing that during detention would forever mark you as a weird! At least go to Heart’s mother’s boyfriend if you want a new hairstyle.

It makes sense. Change your attitude, change your appearance. Seeing a different you, in the mirror, would remind you that you are different inside as well.

It’s a bit deal in anime and manga. Signifies a strong commitment, or life change. Women sometimes keep their long hair until they have children for purposes of practicality but nowadays for most, a haircut is just a haircut.

Reminded of Ronald Colman shaving his beard in The Talk of the Town when he transitioned from legal scholar to legal crusader on Cary Grant’s behalf.

In the movies it’s usually people on the lam trying to disguise themselves…..and looks like a stylist did it.

OK, stop there, cut your hair should be done by a professional, if you do it, you end up making a mess and the hair takes forever to grow!
