We’ll just see who will be history when all is said and done. So, it appears that Audie and company are operating out of that old broadcasting building that we saw in an earlier strip.
I love it… everyone is double-dealing the other… I smell as-of yet, unfired gunpowder in the works… this strip needs some wild, cowboy-crazed, out-of-control gunplay to shake the lethargy out of this strip, albeit temporarily… and it beats the-hell out of a so-called Minit Mystery…
I didn’t know crooks came up short, just like real businesses, when someone has their hand in the till. I get the impression Audie is not the killing kind, just crooked. At least he wont get the chair or life when his house of cards finally collapses.

So Madsen’s gonna get paid tomorrow? Ah….that is unless he has an unfortunate accident. It’d be a shame if he fell down some stairs and broke his neck.
I’ve been thinking, maybe too much, about this story. There are two established crimes presented to us, theft/fraud and murder. There is no evidence of a scam call centre only in the form of hearsay from B.O. to Dick and we know that a crime wasn’t completed because of the screaming chook ended the phone call. To me this story started because of a favour to B.O. by Dick, I maybe stereotyping or being ageist but B.O. acted like someone his age who’s heard about these kind of scams and went to Dick who should’ve just told him to just hang up on them and for Gertie to do the same.
Of course Anders’ death is going to be in the news. And neither Audie nor Sabrina need to be a genius to figure that Madsen bumped off Anders for his $. So, does Madsen figure the game is over and leave town with the $ he has or go back to demand his payoff – knowing Audie will know he is a killer and be prepared?
And could the strip have created a new dramatic term? The antonym for Chekov’s gun? Art deco stucco.
Two things I noticed today: 1) Sabrina maybe into more than just the stealing of social security numbers (such as the theft of the truck with the telecommunication equipment), and 2) Audie hasn’t been hearing voices in his last couple of appearances.
1-AUDIE TORIUM: The Call Center only reaches one person at a time…
2-…I’m thinking about adding an afternoon radio program that can scam thousands of listeners at once. SABRA: Who will host it? They’ll have to be smooth. And convincing. And of course, a smooth liar. I GOT IT! OUR MAYOR!
3-AUDIE: NO! I’ll do it! Who said that. I did. Who are you? Where are you? I hear you but I don’t see you! SABRA:Sigh. Another great idea doomed from the get-go…
Perhaps it’s just my computer(it was down for t wo days),butthe old “block” that kept me out of TRACY WIKI/FANDOM has suddenly re-appeared——and it doesn’t have a current date on it—-so somehow the old one coughed back up.
I’ve contributed a half-dozen new entries over the past month with no complaint from you(Bolo,Lispy,Hypo, etc.),so I’dlike to think this matter can be easily resolved.Plese remove the block.Thank you.
Okay,Sabrina’s a crook. If Sprocket knows what’s going on,she’s trying to turn a blind eye….she knows she’s only there for the short run…and with the murder not public yet,it seems like a “harmless” racket.
Meanwhile, has anybody ACTUALLY won Publisher’s Clearing House?
A bit nitpicky, but Shelley’s drawing of his face and the back of his head don’t match up IMO. His face is large and blocky while the back of his head is small and his face thin.
This swiftly retconned Audie is all heart, isn’t he? You’d think Mad Madsen was enough of a cold killer, but this version of Audie (no longer afflicted with auditory delusions) is infinitely more so—rob him, kill him, and don’t sweat it.
Sabrina, what’s a nice gal [?] like you doing associating with this thug-slug?
He looks a bit russian to me, and if you read his " I pay him tomorrow" I hear a bit of a russian accent and not " I WILL pay him tomorrow" , as we westerners would say Maybe ? Comments ?

4. Dick Tracy being an exciting comic strip
5. Firestrike being a Don Juan with the ladies
6. Gweedo’s innocence with goats.

So Madsen’s first name is Peter, and Anders’ was Paul?

In passing, in the original script he didn’t leave but maliciously set up the end gimmick to cover himself.

I wonder if Anders was a silent partner in the call center with startup money. Oh well, it would take a seance to get any answers.

Seems fitting to paraphrase a saying from the previous century and apply it to Madsen. A walking time-bomb and his money are so parted.
