/// A drunk reaches his hand up her skirt,

unaware he’s about to be hurt.

Her shoe’s poised to come down

with some force on his crown.

(There are subtler ways he could flirt.)

Beating the hired help was one of the favorite pastimes in medieval times. That and watching ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’.

Early TikTok challenge – grope a woman you don’t know at the local pub.

Like most most TikTok challenges, it ended with yet another brain injury.

Bettina the Belgium Barmaid kept an old shoe handy for just such occasions. ( She also had a baseball bat, in case things got too serious. )

Seriously, though, what is she hitting him with?

It doesn’t look like a frying pan, nor a shoe. And if it’s a hair brush, it is the oddest one I’ve seen (Most hair brushes don’t have weights on the backside)

    The Five Senses: Touch

    Paste (including the quote marks)

"Category:Paintings by Jan Miense Molenaer" site=commons.wikimedia.org

(syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ecosia and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found and once there find the text string Touch, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed using Google Chrome, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary) about this roughly A5 paper size high by B4 paper size wide painting. As the title implies, the artist made 5 such paintings, each for a different sense. They’re all held by the same museum.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3162 (July 11, 2023) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to info about this artist I used to point to here. So far, 3 works by him have been used here, the July 30, 2013, strip being the prior. GoComics has deactivated the hyperlinks and removed the new lines in my comment there; but, perhaps the text remains informative.
