Don’t remember Janis doing anything before that could be called Grandmotherly. Not sure this even counts either.

Bummer. Why weren’t they told before they came? What a discount.

The set up

Little Meg must think that Janis is special?

That means she really trusts you Janis.

Janis is thinking, “This chore is for the birds.”

That’s the way it is when grandkids start growing up.

Instead of big tips Janis is working for chicken feed.

“Little Meg”. How little can she be now? She was born when her mother was a teenager and she and Gene must be about 40 now…

Somewhere I have a picture of me feeding my grandfathers chickens, I wasn’t much taller than they were

I like the boots, good move.

Aw, I think that’s sweet. Especially since it appears she left her a pair of boots that fit.

Fowl !!

Little Meg is on vacay. Okay. But what about Little Joe? Little Orphan Annie? Chicken Little? Large Marge?

I think the shtick is going to be that Meg will end up being super tall and not little, so ha ha.

This is so cute. Meg sure loves Janis a lot.

JJ did an awesome job drawing the chickens.

Feed the birds. Sounds like a Julie Andrews song from her flying days. Hey chickens need to be fed too…..

I think this might be Grand-Friendly.

Janis looks out of her league on this one.

A and J could have planned their trip a week later so they could see Meg every day. They don’t have anything else going on in their lives. Why go to visit when someone you want to see will be away??

Well, she can be the mother hen type sometimes.

And now, the chickens are fed.

I used to take my grandchildren for motorcycle rides, is that grand ‘motherly enough’??
