Earl on that last part are you speaking from experience ?
That metaphor is so tortured the Hague should get involved.
He’s sauna roll.
What did he toss—his keys?
Life is like a metaphor: you pick the one you want.
Stewing in my own juice is exactly why I always prefer to shower. I hate to even think of what my juice might consist of.
Stew in your own juice. Yuch
Wise advice!
So is it a bath or a shower, Earl…make up your mind so that you don’t confuse poor Nelson!
My late friend always said ’Lifes a B*tch and then you die"!
Throwing your cellphone in the lake could be considered an adjustment.
Is this metaphor? Or simile?
I kinda see life as a möbius strip.
Or as TS Eliot put it
We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploringWill be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.
TSE “Little Gidding” (the last of his Four Quartets)
The Germans say " Life is like a baby’s shirt, short and full of s—-"
Maybe he tossed his cell phone.
Nelson needs to hang with kids his own age! OY
Nelson didn’t understand a thing…….
Earl is admirably decisive. Except when he is admirably open minded. Or is it wishy washy?
Eeeeuuwwww…….. I may never take another BATH..!!!!!
That poor kid.
Smart Grandpa. . .
Aristotle
All who make it to senior-seniorhood are well aware of stewing in our own juices. Did he just toss that cursed cat?
Earl waxes philosophically! Nelson, take notes!
No, life is like a shower in that the complex interplay of fluidic switching, turbulence, pressure and your neighbor’s washing machine means that you never get it perfect for more than a few seconds. The important thing is that you get clean . :)
That may be some of the worst Grandpa advice ever.
Sometimes I think Earl has Aristotle rolling over in his grave.
But sometimes you run out of hot water.
C y n i c a l this morning, are we…
