I’ve made my grandmas recipes for years. My kids do too so the traditions don’t die off. Growing up in the 40-50’s, there was Chef Boyardee and Spaghetti O’s, TV Finners, Jiffy Pop, Spam, chopped ham salad, and onion dip! LOL

Spaghetti-Os would work, too…

Under no circumstances would I use canned spaghetti. Fresh out of the box, or the dish doesn’t happen, baby!

Hold the canned spaghetti and you might have something palatable. Two different noodle types never work together.

Sounds like a desperation meal to me, throw every redeemable edible thing on hand in a pot.

Even with the general criticism and unappetizing list of ingredients, I’m not sensing anything downright inedible. Would eat it if set before me…

And “hotdish” must be a relatively new coinage: ‘70’s and ‘80’s parlance called these things “casseroles”. As in “tater-tot casserole”. Yes, in the Midwest, I was there.
