Really, they’re all just hanging in there hoping he has a fatal stroke or something and they can swoop in and pick up his followers. Except for Christie, he’s there hoping to CAUSE a fatal stroke or something.
BD keeps such a good poker face throughout all the Don Juan 3-ring circus. He has always been such a staunch conservative, and to the best of my recollection he supported the Don in 2016 and 2020. Yet now he remains silent. I have to wonder what is going through BD’s head?
And Roland, using the phrase “disgraced, much-indicted leader.” Has he regained some hint of journalistic integrity? Perhaps owing to a 3/4 of a billion dollars settlement Fixed News had to pay because of their actual on-air personalities?
How many states have to disqualify TFG under the 14th Amendment before the fake Republicans get the message “This is not the candidate you are looking for”? However that angle would probably have to pass scrutiny by the packed Supreme fake Court.
Imagine the conversations employees of the Taj Mahal, and other failed 45 businesses had as Trump ran them into bankruptcy. Perhaps not unlike the conversations we hear today.
Kari Lake was in consideration until she went to Mar-A-Lardo and made an absolute nuisance of herself sucking up to Traitor45. Didn’t think anyone could suck up too much around him but apparently she did.
The creature from the Orange lagoon will be convicted and in prison before Election Day. Invoke the 14th Amendment now to save republicans from themselves from nominating an insurrectionist
Unless he’s outright dead in another six months, he’s going to be the nominee. Most of the Repubs are behind him, and those who aren’t are going to be split up so fine against the rest of the “Anybody But Trump” sub-pool that they couldn’t get a quorum, let alone a mere plurality.
Trump is not some aberration, some mistake; he’s just the end result of the Republican party’s lack of ideas and playing dog-whistles like some twisted church organ. They’ve convinced their rank-and-file that “those people are coming to take your guns, your freedom and your big-screen TV” and “if you don’t keep us in power, some darkie is gonna marry your daughter and some homosexer is gonna turn your son gay”.
.
Trump is succeeding because he ran on, and delivered, promises of “making those people suffer”. That’s all his supporters care about- making the rest of us suffer. And if he gets back in power, he’ll never give it up again.
Well its obvious that Trump will chose Hope Hicks to be his VP! After all she was the only person allowed to visit Trump in his bedroom at the white house 24/7. Even Melania didn’t have that privledge! lol
Just as people think Kamala Harris could become president in the next term given Biden’s age, I think candidates want to be Trump’s VP because they will become president in short order if they are elected given Trump’s legal challengers.
Scenario 1: Trump loses, becomes a two time loser, GOP refuses to back him, hiz’ orangeness starts his own party (started w/others money) and splits the next election. Goes down in inglorious manner.Scenario 2: Trump wins (shudders) does a lot of damage to USA and stays in the news. End of term refuses to back next GOP candidate, splits from GOP and becomes poster child for “Repeal the 22nd Amendment”.

Can’t be Ronda Santis even if Trump wanted him. Constitution won’t allow prez & veep to both be Florida Men.

All things considered, I wish Quayle would run. Considering the alternatives at the moment he would be a most desirable candidate.

Scott, Elder and Hurd are so cute. They actually believe that The Republican Party as it exists in 2024 would nominate a Black man to be president.

The SD governor, Kristi Noem, is campaigning for Veep without running for president. That might be the way to endear herself to Trump.
