We’re starting to rewatch old network series from 20, 30 years ago. Modern Family and Life in Pieces are both hilarious even though we’ve seen them before.
Ya mean to tell me that American news is not a poorly written soap opera! Come on, you can’t tell me that tRump is such a stupid criminal in real life.
Reality TV is about the most boring stuff out there. It is all the same… Predictable and they way they try to build up drama over the smallest things that then peter out to nothing is silly
Put the camera in the parking lot and watch the fun as people compete to find the space closest to the entrance. It’s a combination of musical chairs and road rage.
When ABC’s The View lost their writers and the pimping actors to the strike, the show much improved. Good to hear the ladies’ own voices and meet a broader field of guests.
Sometimes I feel a tad guilty. LONG before “reality” TV, I had thought that TV should be a bit more real. That is, on every cop/detective show they catch the guilty party. Unfortunately in real life, that’s not the case. Sometimes the bad guys win.
I find myself re-reading my McLuhan on the topic of television. Although he was born in Edmonton and moved to Winnipeg when he was four, I consider him to be the best thing to come out to Winnipeg after Anna Paquin.
A small company used to make Funyons, Bugles, and Screaming Yellow Zonkers. Naturally, Frito-Lay bought them and I have recently seen the first 2 on store shelves along with all the other Frito-Lay products. I didn’t find any Screaming Yellow Zonkers.
At our local supermarket, you can choose to stand in a checkout line and be assured of checkout drama or use the easy-peasy self checkout and skip the drama.

I don’t watch so-called reality TV but from what I’ve read, it’s also scripted.

As if “reality” TV is not scripted.

The weirdest idea is that Survivalist-type show where they have to be naked. They were stretching for that one.

“Reality” TV is not reality and you need good writers to fake it.

I dunno, people liked Sienfeld and Raymond, watching people at Walmart would be an improvement.

Even reruns of “The Bionic Navel” are better than what passes for TV these days.

Which reality is it in which we vote out 1 family member per week, and get paid thousands to eat strange bugs?

“South Beach Tow” is hilarious.

Understandably Cliff watches it, he can’t handle too much drama.

It is a lot more exciting than it sounds.
