I told you to be careful what you said on the air! Well, Goldie did, anyway. I thought it really loudly, though!

So that answers the questions that have been raised about whether there’s anybody watching BCN!

I have a joke but it’s political so I won’t make it.

I see the moles have a great Mole figure just like the cats have a great Cat (or Kitty-Cat). Nice detail. So much world!

I never miss the cat news, either. And my eyesight is pretty poor. Could I be a mole and not know it? A sleeper mole?

Maybe they can use this to their advantage. Journalistic ethics would not allow them to actually lie on the air . . . but maybe they could leave out a key piece of information at some point? (Just because the People media have given up on ethics doesn’t mean BCN would.)

Once again morbid curiosity compelled me to see if moles are edible. I found lots of sites on the deliciously complex Mexican mole sauce. And then I found a few sites that claimed that mole meat is edible, but their credibility was greatly reduced because of the side by side photos of furry moles, with pots of dark brown mole sauce. Dr. Scuttles on Twitter/X 8/24: An unexpected visit from my longtime friend Wicket this afternoon. His lamented news from several months back has come to pass, he was at last released from the QWRC. Spent too long in my backyard, asking if I’d heard about the moles over at the Big Pink House…I told him indeed I had. He said it was an awful business… We looked at each other a long time.

I said if I ever found who had forced Old Mag out of her dumpster, I would likely snip-snap my jaws and clip their wings. Wicket replied, “Dear fellow… Moles don’t have wings!”

He laughed heartily and I told him it was nearly time for my supper. He flew off and said he’d visit again soon. He has a lot of time, now that he is out of QWRC…

He thinks I don’t know.

He thinks you don’t know.

But we know.

Don’t we, dear listeners?

It’s good to have confirmed what we already believed.

Before someone kvetches, “CN news” is NOT redundant. CN stands for Cat Network.

Beatrixia: And I think I’ve convinced Ora Z not to shred or burn the classic scrolls. She’s more interested in her percussion group at the moment.

Bev: I’ve heard of your cute tortie. Maybe she would be interested in the musical instrument making scrolls in the 780s.

Puckmosis: I’m sure she would.

Violet-Ifa: We’ve been busy. Tash and I are here, while Agnes and Alice are at the Owl Temple Hoops Tournament cheering on Punn State.

Mole spin off?

On yesterday’s question of what Wicket is supposed to eat if it isn’t the small creatures of the field. Watching the bats from my deck last night I was thinking he could eat the mosquitos. Though Wicket being quite a bit bigger than the bats that might not work out so well.

Yeah, I figured CN inadvertently gave them away. Hopefully Mona was the only one among the moles smart enough to put two with two then.

Mona and the moles are smart! Cats are not playmates they’d want, at least not IRL. Here in BCN, the cats get along with almost everyone, regardless of species – except of course Wicket!

(It might help that they are well-fed.)

CN is more popular than they realized. They may want to adjust their topics just a hair. Then again, they are successful as is.

Bet they’re big fans of “Our IX Lives.”

Have we seen any paid advertising on the BCN network? I don’t recall, although I might need to look back at the IX Lives episodes to be sure. It’s a missed opportunity for sure. And now, with the mole audience, there’s a new demographic to sell to, in addition to the cats and mice. I can see Goldie or Beatrix bringing in clients and Sophie coming up with some great ads for relevant products.
