Of course, she may find the thing to save the day, but it seems more likely that she’ll find something that will encourage her to “join the fight” and put herself in danger.
It looks as if clouds are brewing in that beautiful night sky. Having gone through a rare north eastern approaching storm early Thursday morning, I can attest that August storms can blow things like potted coleus plants all around while drowning them in torrential rain. The lightning was nearly non stop as well.
Speaking of junk, my backyard raccoon family frequently bring little gifts into my yard to play with. Right now there’s a small basket, a very abused Barbie head, a rusted screwdriver, and a small plastic kaleidoscope. Weirdest treasures have been a set of slightly broken Chinese porcelain horses, a silver monkey brooch, and an Ashley Wilkes doll. I can’t tell if this is someone’s trash or if they have access to a nearby attic.
Oooh, the “mysterious lost junk in the barn” is definitely a plot element! Can’t wait! (Actually, please, I want to read about the kits exploring the barn more than I want to read about the adults talking to the opossums.)
So… do they have time to find the lost raccoon junk, MacGyver up a catapult, and fling a weighted net over a certain foul fowl, all before breakfast tomorrow? Yay, Princess Mag! Go, kits, go!
Beaver Lee Cleary: I’ll just pack up my things and I’ll be all set for the trip to Egypt.
Beatrixia: I’ll bet Thomios and Floof will be delighted to use these recipes.
Puckmosis: Maybe we can have a classic banquet.
Bev: And I’ll bet we can find some classic entertainment for Lupinium and OZ to do.
Meanwhile, Back in Egypt
Elvis-Anum: I think some of these classic scrolls are written in the Tengwar script. I wonder if Fe-Anaro and his sons had anything to do with them.
Sophititi: I know they traveled extensively to fulfill their oath about the silmarils.
Elvis: Mag-Lor’s archives are a more precious treasure than any jewels, no matter how beautiful. Oh, here is a scroll with a song about weaving. You, Tillie, and Adobe Style would enjoy this.
Soph: I’ll get them.
Elvis: And I’ll get some tea and scones for us.
Sometime Later
Iggy: I heard you have a new song, so I brought my guitar. The second one ever created.

On a cheerful note: The 2022 Reuben Awards for cartoonists are in two weeks, Sept 6-8, per their website. Georgia submitted a portfolio of ten strips in the early spring. I think one was the Nov 13 Sunday strip of The Girl and some geese sending hearts to each other. Another was the Oct 30 Sunday strip of Angus calling Beatrix, the Robber Mice, et al., to the BPH. Does anyone remember the others? Maybe she listed them on her FB page.
Anyway, we can positively send good thoughts, Power of the Paw, purrs, whatever, that Georgia gets the professional recognition she deserves and that it will help lighten her heart.

Princess Magazine puts her lil paws together just like her Grandmag does.

The ladies collude well. They do understand each other, not to mention the situation they are facing together.
Grandmag and the kits are delightful in their love for each other.

I hope someday we get a flashback of Baba caring for one of her many litters of kittens.

Seems to me there was once mention of Burt maybe being related to Baba. Or am I misrembering?

Awww! I can just hear Princess Maggie’s, sweet lil’ voice, asking that question! (I know it’s, Princess Magazine, but she looks like a Maggie to me!)

Two competing stories, raccoon treasure and Wicket battle, all happening during Puck’s breakroom report. This network brings all the excitement!

Does anyone have an update on Georgia’s sad/difficult time? Keep thinking she will post. May have missed it.

Ok, now Baba Mouse needs to move the kits to a different, unknown location just in case Monty’s Minions were watching that broadcast as well!

Shouldn’t “Lost Raccoon Junk of the Barn” be capitalized? These are important artifacts deserving of a proper noun.
