Zoe and Hammie heading back to school must have caused Wren some stress that she regressed a bit on her potty training. Hopefully not an indication of wanting more attention from Wanda.
My youngest granddaughter was reluctant to potty train. I read some articles and bought one of those little toilets like Wren is using. Dang if it didn’t work.
My oldest slept through the night at 2 months old, and she had a clean diaper at 11 months. That is supposedly when you should begin potty training. When she wouldn’t do it I was told I wasn’t keeping her on the potty long enough. So one day she stayed on it from 8am-noon. She was 15 months old at the time. I gave her books to color in and others to look through. Even back then she loved “reading”. I think that is why she wanted to be a librarian. This year she got her masters in Library Science. Anyway the child didn’t do a thing on the potty. I put a diaper on her so we could actually leave the house and she peed immediately. She finally decided to use it when she was in preschool and saw other kids doing it as well. They say to go yourself while teaching, that that helps them learn. I have NEVER been able to do that. My sister trained my youngest in one day! She had boys and told me girls are much easier. Having changed my nephews diapers I was quite glad I had girls. Meanwhile putting it in the living room is gross. That doesn’t really teach anything except that they can go where ever they want.
Anyone remember the episode of the Golden Girls where the need a new toilet. After having a fight with the guy bringing it into the house he leaves it in the living room. All three ladies together can’t budge it. As usual they go into the kitchen to commiserate over cheesecake. Sofia comes into the room (she hadn’t been home) and tells Dorothy what a great idea!

Sit and watch tv at same time. If you’re bound up, a lot of shows will ease that problem!

What I don’t get is why would Hammie want a training urinal inside when he has a whole back porch outside?

Nice incentive! Number 1 gets one 15 minute episode of Fubby Wubbies, number 2 gets a full half hour.

Really, Wanda? That sort of thing needs to be done in private, even for Wren.
