Calvin will have to ask Susie to sign a letter to nullify this letter when he asks her to the prom.
Hey, at least you got a signature, Calvin.
And when Susie grows up, and he asks her out. I assume that when she brings up this contract – he will say she was not of legal age to sign any contract, therefore it isn’t enforceable.
Does Calvin realize this means he can’t pelt her with snowballs or even insult her?
Calvin just made up a restraining order for himself concerning Suzie, how ingenius of the enterprising lad.
Manna from heaven. Now the rest of you kids form an orderly q…..
Excellent…belly laugh
You probably made Susie’s day Calvin.
Bet they laughed about that years later, assuming Calvin got over his delusions and avoided being institutionalized.
When will he hand a letter to Hobbes to sign?
Ha! We all know they get married later on. The fan comic, “Hobbes and Bacon” laid it all out.
Way to be proactive, Calvin!
Fast forward 10 years and Calvin has a huge crush on Susie but he can’t speak to her because of the contract.
I love it. ALMOST insulting.
You finally got someone to sign something, Calvin!
I’m sort of surprised that she didn’t sign it and then shove the paper up his nose…
Sheldon shares this affinity for legal agreements.
In the last panel, looks like Cal gets it.
Careful what you ask for…
That won’t work out well. Now he can’t ask her for answers on the tests. Not that she ever gave the answers to him.
So this is where Danae gets it from.
I wonder if Bill Gates started out this way?
Smart girl!
I could use a stack of those.
She knows a good deal when she sees one.
If he doesn’t get it notarized, does it really count?
First graders are not assigned lockers.
I wonder if she brought that up at their wedding.
Yep…. She will remind him of that ‘Agreement’ every year on their wedding anniversary…. ;-)
Smart girl.
I hope Calvin is ready for severe penalties.
She knew a good deal when she saw it.
What will happen if Ms. Wormwood has the students form teams of 2, and Calvin and Susie get paired?
We’re going to miss Susie. :)
Susie will pay for the notary out of her allowance
She wanted to stop the conversation.
However, future strips will show how the agreement was somehow forgotten by both parties.
For hating school he sure is doing a lot of unnecessary writing lately.
it is insulting but you two dont like each other and she probably had other places to be so who cares
Yeah, well… he’ll still marry her one day.
