It’s always nice to see Sophie happy. Her joy is all the more meaningful because she feels safe to share it with us now.

Now I’m wondering if her cats in this universe also run a TV station.

I am going on 70 years old and have never heard a Taylor Swift song. Sorry, but by the early 2000s there just wasn’t any new music that interested me and I started listening to my oldies instead. The car radio was tuned to oldies stations and my ipod shuffle (still have it in the car) is stuff from 60s through 90s, old favorites. I feel like the “hey kids, get off my lawn” old woman but I like what I like and am OK with that.

I know this is a chance for the BPH to fangirl over Swift, but I didn’t expect Burt to be a Swiftie … I sort of pictured him to be a jazz enthusiast?

I like a lot of artist’s Christmas stuff where I don’t listen to their mainstream music. I haven’t heard anything by Taylor Swift, I don’t think, except for an occasional Christmas thing once Halloween is done and my radios are tuned to constant Christmas. In the meantime, my eclectic tastes run from Broadway tunes to AC/DC…

Don’t really know her well, but I’ve listened to some, and I think it’s better than most new stuff. I don’t understand why some people hate her so much.

I don’t know any of her music. But everything I’ve heard about her says she is a genuinely good person.

Never heard her sing. Have read she is a good businesswoman and good to her fans but maybe not so much to her ex-boyfriends. Don’t really know, certainly don’t care.

I’m not really familiar with Taylor Swift’s body of work.

I haven’t been commenting much lately, there has been a lot of family stuff going on which is taking a lot of energy from me, plus my old laptop died and I had to get a new one and get my IT guy to transfer all my stuff over to the new laptop. An expense I did not need at this time, but oh, well. By the by, the kittens are 4 months old today.

If someone does you wrong, more power to you if you can make $$$millions writing and singing about it. Some things you can’t just shake off. Wish I had that talent!

I am not a huge fan of her music, but I think she is an admirable person and that she is a feline fan is a bonus

Apparently it’s fashionable to hate on Swift because of her music being all over the radio. Phil Collins got the same treatment.

I always liked that Blank Space song. Whoever that Jermaine person is, they must be special to get a name check in one of Taylor’s songs.

I knew I was a child of the ‘60s when, in response to a grandchild’s query, I couldn’t name one of Mariah Carey’s 19 number one hits—though I do remember her Christmas song. Now my grandkids are too old to care about Taylor Swift!

I’m a 67 year old guy with adult sons, no daughters, and I’m a Swifty. I listen mostly to classical and movie soundtracks, but Taylor is just the best.

Wait…is that The Aunt, The Intruder Who Sits On Cats, in the last panel HOLDING ELVIS??? I must have missed something, somewhere, since there is no blood.

And a young colleague at work is a Swiftie . . . also a cat-lover. So, I have shared this with her, and hope she’ll join this group eventually!

It’s like a Brewster Rockit Sunday strip, except instead of Dr. Mel telling us facts about space, it’s the cats telling us facts about Taylor Swift.

That’s a strange sentence if you don’t know the backstory.

The first several times I heard the term “swiftie,” I thought they were talking about the Swift boat crews in Viet Nam—then I realized those talking were too young to know what those were.

Not into most popular music until I encounter it ten years later. Mostly I listen to classical, soundtracks, and older popular stuff that I remember from my youth, when I was not into it, but developed a more eclectic POH (Point of Hearing).

Since I only listen to classical radio, and don’t frequent Yute oob, I’ve never heard a Taylor Swift song. But anyone who loves cats has to have something going for them.

I’ve heard Swift. I drive my granddaughters around. I’ve never heard her voice because the recordings, like almost all pop music these days, have enough effects added in post production to make the voice a source of input for electronic signal modification. Anyone could be at the microphone. I have heard some of her lyrics. I’d rate them as OK. Not Cole Porter or Chuck Berry but reasonably thoughtful. I gave up on mainstream pop music around 1970 so I’m probably not the best source of opinion on pop music. My granddaughters, 13 and 15, think she’s not remarkable but not annoying. I do like Billie Eilish, Camila Cabello, and Olivia Rodrigo.

To be fair I didn’t realize she was a cat person. I like the names a lot. I read “The Strange Case of Benjamin Button” around 1958 in a science fiction anthology among the read in your free time books in my 8th grade classroom. I was surprised when it was made into a movie.

It’s true, Taylor’s love of cats is world-famous.

I see the line “Shake it off,” and my mind immediately cranks up “Shake it up” by the Cars.

Taylor’s main audience is under 40, but no doubt, she’s extremely talented….and rich… and generous. She’s given 6 figure bonuses to her roadies because she wouldn’t be able to do her shows without them. She does have cats with those names and donates much to charity. I like Adele, Celine, Bruno Mars (she is ill and can’t sing anymore..neither can Linda Ronstadt- poor gals), Ed Sheeran, (he used to open for Taylor Swift) Mumford and Sons, the Jonas Brothers, Tom Odell (although most people still don’t know who he is) Stephen Sanchez (his music has a 60’s vibe- check out his “Till I Found You” on YouTube. I love the music of the ’60’s and ’70’s that I grew up with, but I can’t only listen to that. There are some talented performers out there! You’re missing out if you love music!

I’m not really into modern music, but I really like today’s strip. What fun it is to share a common love and interest — one that makes people happy and does no harm to others! There’s too much grief and sorrow and hate and ugliness in the world.

Just had to google “Taylor Swift’s cats” and confirm that the two females are, in fact, Scottish folds. That’s attention to detail… I was like “What’s wrong with their ears??”
