So who is painted the moon yellow?

Fact: The phrase “supermoon” wasn’t a concept until invented in 1976 by an astrologer. It is not a concept as such in astronomy. The supermoon’s purported effects on tides and the like are vastly overblown.

This particular full moon is especially rare for people in my area, because we’re actually supposed to have clear skies this evening.

It’s also a blue moon, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the color.

I went to the park to see it last night. A huge orange ball just above the trees. Unfortunately, the wildfire smoke make dusty and dim.

No. Just…. no…. LOL.

why did the media start naming every. single. moon with a catchy name? I thought they had been the same moon for million (billions?) of years.

The best viewing is from Lois Lane in Metropolis.

Superman would have a much harder time these days. A pair of fake glasses won’t fool decent facial recognition software anymore.

After the supermoon, it replaced the glasses and nobody recognizes!!

Never saw Superman mooning anyone in my comics.

So sick of all the “moon” stories – Cherry Moon, Super Moon, etc. The moon does not change perceptibly to the naked eye; they are just “filler” stories for slow news days.
