I’m glad to see Bernice come into the living room and say hello. Piro seems pleased to see her. Yes, you, Bern.

But he doesn’t sound convinced about skydiving. Maybe Tara should jump by herself.

Well she was the first. Way back in the days when she was an RA. This is turning out to be an interesting threesome, all pursuing Piro in their own ways. Let the games begin!

He probably needs time and therapy and maybe a friend who isn’t self-consciously trying to win a “competition” for his interest. If Bernice can act normal around Piro, as she did before, she might be able to be that friend, as long as she doesn’t turn it into undergraduate practice therapy.

Sounds like he feels like a project. Nobody like that. Ah, Bern putting your interest before his. False step.Will someone ask Piro’s what he wants to do.

Now, I wonder just how much insight is indicated by Pir’s question to Bernice. Is he merely insecure, that he asks the women around him to define his needs and thereby his identity? Or, has he realized that he is being viewed by the women in his life as a project to be fixed, and recognized that he needs to resist their manipulations. If the latter, his question to Bernice is something of a test to see if she also fits the category.

At least it’s not Gunther whining. But, oy! Now Bernice is going to butt in. The last thing Walt needs is a would-be therapist pushing her crackpot ideas on him.

Yeah, Tara and Luann think you like what they like – Tara loves thrills and Luann enjoys humor. They failed to realize you are not them – you are Piro, an individual with your own interests. Let’s see what Bernice does – besides that Freudian slip.

What I am trying to figure out is, what is the attraction to this guy?

Puddles is the only intelligent one in that bunch.

We all hoped the danger was averted, but here it is. The moment where Bernice tries to wrap Piro with her tentacles! She waited patiently for them to finish everything so to come to the end. With that air of being the only one able to really understand him. The overprotective Tara is distracted by her conversation with Luann, or she doesn’t realize the great danger her fragile cousin is in. I wonder if Bernice will offer to drive Piro home, so she can find out where he lives, or if she will invite him into her room to talk. It’s clear that she’s up to something.

At least Piro recognizes he needs a change in his life to heal. Tara means well and is at least trying to be a good family member, same with Luann trying to be a good friend. Bernice, on the other hand….someone needs to put a leash on her.

Bern’s response was quick and direct.

How does this shrew manage to get in more relationships, albeit short ones, than the rest of the characters combined?

I honestly don’t see what these girls see in Piro. He has more issues than Time Magazine.

Bernice, Luann claims to have no romantic ambitions toward Piro. Supposedly all you’ve got going is being a muse for an aspiring artist. But do you really want to see if Piro’s neuroses mesh with yours?

I predicted that a week ago and everyone trashed me for saying it. lol

How about a kick in the @$$?

Piro needs to stop playing at being such a wounded little baby and taking advantage of these girls. Now Bernice is going to get sucked into his pity-party because she is, of course, the best person for him, what with her training as an analyst, and muse abilities. He’ll end up with a girl who pays for his thrill sports, a girl who (tries) to make him laugh, and a girl who wants to analyze him. All he has to do is add Tiffany as the girl who wants to finance his business venture.

Bernice, you were literally content with ghosting this boy when he wanted to talk to you. Now you want him just cause he called you an ray of light? Girl, you’re crazy.

It’d be nice if Piro just told someone what he likes. There’s no need to be so passive when going along with it is not making him happier.

So Berniece IS interested in Piro after all!!!! He doesn’t seem to be terribly impressed with Tara or Luann at the moment. Perhaps he needs something besides thrills and laughs to help him move forward. When Berniece had that huge crush on him she was often at a loss for words—not her usual snarky self. Maybe he just appreciates someone quiet and centered in his life. She showed him kindness in the past, too. And he responded to it.

Unexpected, but cute. So Piro is aware of what Tara and Luann are doing. I wonder if he has any expectations of Bernice. If she’s interested in Piro as more than a friend, she certainly showed restraint by staying in the kitchen knowing he was there. The question now is, will they be truthful or dodge the issue and any feelings.

Puddles makes his appearance!I’m not sure why anyone thinks Piro needs anything, or why they are trying to change him. He’s an introvert. We are uncomfortable in crowds, generally with new things. People need to respect our differences and stop pushing us to be “with it”. I think Bernice accepted him as he was, sharing some of his interests. Tara and Luann have more of their own interests at heart.

I guess Nil’s chances are now history.

Why does Piro care what other people think he needs? He is an adult, he can decide what he wants for his life. This is dumb.

Piro was seeing a therapist last we knew. The professional should be helping him figure out what he wants from life.

The drab little mouse is flustered, but in today’s Pibgorn, the incredible Luda knows what she wants and goes after it with enthusiasm.

While I do find Piro to be an interesting character, I find it demeaning that the story is propelled by the women who just MUST be in his orbit.
