I have friends and relatives like that, they could retire now but continue to keep on working into their seventies, and always an excuse, I have to finish training a guy , or just one more year, they drive me nuts. I retired as soon as I could and never looked back. Life is good.Work to live, not Live to work.
I guess that’s the ideal life. I know retired ministers who keep right on preaching, teaching, counseling and/or guiding churches, though not full time. And I, find myself preaching more than in the nonretirement years. And though my preaching doesn’t earn me any financial compensation, it does provide a level of fulfillment unsurpassed.

It’s not work if you enjoy it. It’s not a job if you don’t get paid. He’s a volunteer or a hobbyist.

If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.

I was going to make a joke about Garfield being tired but I couldn’t find one that was both funny and made sense

Using the same drawing for three panels does take a lot out of a person. Or cat.
