One who doesn’t want to waste $4 worth a gas to take you to school

I’m sorry. Am I missing something? This is a comic strip. Comic as in funny, right? Is there something even remotely funny here? Is there another, weightier point being made?

My neighbors drive their kids to and from the bus stop, which is a block and a half from their house.

Mom, I missed the bus! So, you’d better start walking!

The good kind …

i used to walk 1.6 miles to school (one way) every day growing up in RI from 5th grade to 8th grade…i googled it…

We used to carry our books by hand. No book bags. Suck it up, kid.

Imagine the stories these kids will someday tell their own children: “I had to walk two blocks to and from school almost every day, even on the days when the skies were cloudy!”

Why, when I was a kid, we had to walk two blocks to the bus stop whether Dad was driving right by the school or not. :)

I’d call a lawyer, kid…
