Centerville must be a town where everyone knows everyone else. There’s always time for some small talk.

But, why would she have that memory? Pam never had a job that put her in contact with toddlers or their parents. People don’t spend time showing off baby pictures to literally everyone through the course of their job. I guess the implication is that they’ve seen each other repeatedly through 25+ years but it could be equally as likely that the firefighter had other jobs through the years and they could still see each other as often regardless.

Well, whatever. It’s not Lisa or Dinkle or comix.

“I’d show you pictures of our grandson Mitch, but they were destroyed in this latest fire!”

Ed has accumulated enough fire response calls, he can choose a fire blanket which can be used when he gets an urge to play with fire. It has a picture of Smokey the Bear and the slogan, only you can prevent fires; or

a personal life net when he gets that urge to dangle himself from a roof or tree after he kicks the ladder from beneath him.

I may be alone in this, but in my opinion Crankshaft has not had an original strip in months and months. It has just been one tired, recycled plotline after another. The strip is brain dead and tedious.

Ha ha ha, it’s funny because he’s burned the house down at least once a year for 25 years.

It’s just one thing after another with this guy. With all the destructive, stupid crap that Crank has pulled over the years, it’s surprising that Jffff and Pam haven’t booted him out of their house.
