Reminds me of the first Christmas we had with our cats – one of them got tangled in the tree, and he scratched me when I was getting him loose, and all I could think was “Well EXCUSE ME for saving your sorry furry butt!”

It’s official, time to get another tree to replace the one that had all of its leaves fall off all at once.

Yup. LEDs were a BIG improvement.

I was looking at the history of LED development. The federal government under GWB agreed to buy from the first folks to achieve a certain efficiency. Phillips dropped everything else to work on that.

Impressive improvement.

Reminds me of a Mark Twain observation about cats and stoves, in this instance I think it would apply to Christmas lights. He said, “If a cat sits on a hot stove, that cat won’t sit on a hot stove again. That cat won’t sit on a cold stove either. That cat just don’t like stoves.”
