I like the small gag with the name plate thingy. Going… Going… and then in the next panel it’s gone. Funny!
Luann becomes a Slylock Fox ‘spot the differences’ strip, for a day.
Maybe that plant is Audrey II from the film “Little Shop of Horrors” and it will suddenly eat them both.
Miss Phelps’ next question: “Knute, did you ever eat lead paint chips as a child?”. Knute: “Yeah….Ummmm why???”
Miss Phelps will likely take early retirement because her nerves are shot from dealing with the Knute’s of the world.
This is one of the few old Luann strips that is not at all funny or humorous.
My daughter teaches high school math classes and this is too common a reality.
