That’s politics, for you…..

“In conclusion,” could preface another 45 minutes. I’d like to hear: “Thank you all for coming.”

His conclusion was inconclusive.

The bellowing bloviation about your honesty.

When a professional hot air bag says “and in conclusion” it means they’ve reached the halfway point.

It was POSSIBLY the only truth that was in the speech—I say possibly because he probably went on speaking for another fifteen to twenty minutes and not SAID anything further ! ! !!

The ending, that part when you stop talking

Stand up to be seen, speak up to be heard, shut up to be appreciated

Let me reiterate, if I may.

That usually means about 20 minutes of speechifying to go.

The only problem is, that after the ’and in conclusion" part is another 20 minutes of speech.

I used to play keyboards in a band, and one time the sound engineer said I liked that song, especially the ending… I wish it had come even sooner!

A political speech is like a steer: A point here and a point there, with lots of bull in between.

The part where you promised to do “things” about “stuff”, very Bush II.

You’d think an experienced politician like Senator Batson D Bellfrey would have seen that one coming.
