I realized that most misinformation can be identified by asking who the speaker/writer/podcaster is, what their qualifications are and who is the source of the information (and what qualifies them to be an authority on the topic). Who was the fellow in the 1970s who used to sometimes send out press releases on events that weren’t real to see how many news outlets he could get to take the bait?

It’s embarrassing that "Wizard of Ed "is sending out pro-Trump propaganda. The former president who intends to become dictator of the US is the one doing everything he can to get people to believe that the news media is lying to them. It’s a standard dictator practice: convince people that the news media is lying to them, then the dictator can tell them anything he wants. And mostly what he wants to do is tell people lies.

Still astonishing that people believe fiction in spite of the writers’ paying penalties for concocting it.

MIGA. Kellyanne Conway’s ancestors originated “Alternative facts”? The National Enquirer and other grocery store tabloids proved long ago for some people that B.S. stories are far more interesting the the boring old truth.

I figured out a long time ago that a large percentage of people can’t handle reality. They will willingly embrace stories that have no chance of being true. The Bible is a good example. So is Faux news. Reality is harsh, but it’s better than living in a fantasy world.
